These terms govern your use of Rutken, including our software, website, API, and plugin registry (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using Rutken on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf.

Authorized use only

Rutken is a security-analysis and testing tool. You may use it only against applications, binaries, systems, and devices that you own or for which you have explicit, written authorization to test. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use is lawful and properly authorized. You must not use Rutken to access, attack, or interfere with any system without permission, or for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section.

License

Rutken is proprietary software. Subject to these terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your internal purposes. You may not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer (except as permitted by law), or remove proprietary notices, except as expressly allowed. Plugins you submit to the registry remain yours; by submitting them you grant us a license to review, distribute, and display them.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it.

Plans, billing, and renewals

• Paid plans are billed in advance on the cadence shown at checkout (monthly or yearly) and renew automatically until cancelled.
• Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase and handles any applicable taxes.
• You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, continued access runs until then, and your plan then drops to the free Community tier.
• Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
• Refunds and cancellations are handled under our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which includes a 14-day money-back window on first-time purchases of a paid plan. For billing questions, contact billing@rutken.com.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: violating the "Authorized use only" section; disrupting or probing the Service itself without authorization (see our responsible-disclosure policy); infringing others' rights; or uploading unlawful content to the registry. Report misuse to abuse@rutken.com.

Intellectual property

We and our licensors own all rights in the Service, excluding content you provide. Feedback you give us may be used without restriction.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Rutken helps you find potential issues; it does not guarantee that it will find all issues or that your systems are secure, and its output is not a substitute for your own judgment.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rutken and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the Service or others.

Changes

We may update these terms; we will revise the date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
